AAP is made up of dynamic, ingenious and insightful young architects gathered in Tokyo with vision for educating and promoting African architecture, with Kenya as the starting point.
We place a lot of emphasis on the use of locally available materials, Kenya and Japanese knowhow to produce sustainable, energy efficient, structurally sound, safe living environments and beautiful outfits. We focus on providing simple but innovative and creative solutions in tackling living environments Kenya.
Being based in Tokyo Japan, it also studies Japanese contemporary and traditional architecture and seizes the opportunity for the two concepts to collaborate with Kenyan architecture. Our guiding principles are based on the need and urgency to improve life and to make design an affordable necessity.
Through careful consideration of cultural, economical and geo-physical environment we propose sustainable but also beautiful ideas to design.
